What’s better than an Italian classic? Two Italian classics combined into one family-favorite dish! Combine your favorite pizza toppings with pasta in this quick, hearty recipe.

Yields: 6-8 Servings
16 ounces Mueller’s® Rigatoni
1 small onion, chopped
1 pound Italian sausage or ground beef
3.5 ounces pepperoni slices
1 15-ounce can pizza sauce
1 to 2 cups shredded pizza or 5 blend Italian cheese
1Cook pasta according to package directions; drain well and set aside.
2While pasta is cooking, pre-heat broiler and spray a large, oven-proof skillet with non-stick cooking spray.
3Over medium-high heat, cook onion and Italian sausage in the oven-proof skillet until meat is browned and cooked through. Stir regularly to crumble meat.
4Add pepperoni slices and pizza sauce to skillet and heat over medium heat until heated through.
5Gently stir cooked pasta into skillet and sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Place skillet under the broiler for two to four minutes or until the cheese is melted on top.

If you don’t have an oven-proof skillet, you can sprinkle the cheese over pasta and meat, cover and heat it over low heat for three to five minutes to melt the cheese.
